“ Material things cannot be owned by anybody, for at death they must be left behind & given to others. We are only allowed the use of things. It shows a lack of wisdom to be 'possessed' by material things. ”
I don't think anybody's necessarily ready for death. You can only hope that when it approaches, you feel like you've said what you wanted to say. Nobody wants to go out in mid-sentence.
I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments, when they aren't trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.
The beginning of all beings is veiled, beings manifest in the middle, and unmanifest again on death. Then, why lament this truth?
The moment you are born, you have a death sentence upon you. When, where and how is the only question. Your death is confirmed.
Never concentrate on your faults. By doing so you identify yourself with them. You are the one who puts the veil of delusion in front of your wisdom's eyes. Whatsoever you think, that is what you are.
if you are going to make people around you joyful and relieved only when you die, that's not a good way to live.
